From Casa del Sueno you can easily visit Murcia, Cartagena with its roman ruins, the pretty port town of Mazaron on the coast or perhaps spend a day at the film studios where Clint Eastwood starred in the famous "spaghetti westerns". La Manga resort a little further north is a paradise for water sports.

Further afield Almeria, Cabo de Gata National Park, Granada and Alicante are all easily reachable for days trips, making this a great base for touring the south eastern region of Spain.
